Maintain live audio excellence.
Most likely culprits:
- Piano's mute plug removed.
- Drummer overplaying the room.
- One or more of band's onstage speakers need to be dialed back.
- Singer overplaying the room.
Bandleaders are responsible to resolve the above. But without a "Front-of-House" sound engineer as at traditional music venues, they depend on house Management to keep them apprised of volumes and balance from the Guests' perspective.
REMINDER: In zones further away from the Lounge (e.g. Dining Rooms, Patio, Private Speakeasies), Managers can handily attenuate the Live Music ("Stage") feed's volume via the respective Nomad wall panel(s).
Often resolved by rebooting the QSC mixer, or by refreshing ("updating") the mixer's firmware.
Use the USB drive provided you at opening. Or, download the firmware from the MP Resources page here and onto a fresh new drive.
Ask bandleader to Recall and
rebuild their mix from the _evxx_default_trio_ Scene.
If the issue persists, describe it to us in the Chat (below) or via the Repairs Desk page.
And, musicians are expected to dispose of their trash and leave stage area in at least as sharp condition as they found it. Pay it forward.
Prior to start of nightly live music, use a microfiber cloth to dry dust the piano's surface. Use a non-abrasive cleaning fluid to remove water marks or food residue. For stores with real acoustic pianos, use a wood-safe option. Leave piano closed when not in use.
